David Keith Helps Morris Animal Foundation Make Upcoming K9 Cancer Walk Most “Woofed” About Event

Hometown boy and actor David Keith has partnered with Morris Animal Foundation for their 1st ever K9 Cancer Walk on Sunday, September 18 at the Cove at Concord Park. Proceeds from the event will benefit Morris Animal Foundation and their effort to help dogs lead longer, healthier, cancer-free lives.

Cancer is a disease that touches many of us—that is why Morris Animal Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure. An estimated 50 percent of all dogs will battle cancer. It is the No. 1 cause of death in dogs over the age of 2. All dog lovers are invited to attend and are encouraged to walk to celebrate the life of their canine best friend or walk in memory of dogs that have lost their battle with canine cancer.

“My Golden Retriever Mix, Buddy means the world to me,” said Keith. “It amazes me that Golden Retrievers are at the top of list of breeds most prone to get cancer. By partnering with Morris Animal Foundation and their walk program, I will be helping them in creating a healthier tomorrow for Buddy and the other dogs in Knoxville.”

Registration is now open. Rally your friends and family, and let’s show our furry best friends that we are on a mission to beat canine cancer. Additional event details, including information about our virtual Sit & Stay option, can be found at www.K9CancerWalk.org.

Proud sponsors of this year’s walk include PetSafe, the Orvis Company, Petplan, Paul Mitchell Schools and John Paul Pet. Vendor and sponsorship information is also available on the event website.
