KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (February 18, 2015) – PetSafe® brand, an industry leader in the development of innovative pet behavioral, containment and lifestyle product solutions, has donated $5,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Tennessee (BBBSETN) to help cover costs incurred in high quality one-to-one mentoring.
BBBSETN has provided positive youth development for at-risk youth for 45 years. With offices in Knoxville and Kingsport, Big Brothers Big Sisters aims to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported relationships that change their lives for the better.
BBBSETN carefully pairs children with screened volunteer mentors. The organization monitors these one-to-one matches to ensure children in its program achieve measurable outcomes, including educational success, avoidance of risky behaviors, greater confidence, and better relationships.
Doug Kose, CEO of BBBSETN, treasures the importance PetSafe puts on youth development programs throughout the local community.
