City of Enoch Announces Grand Opening of PetSafe® Dog Park

ENOCH, Utah — Sept. 16, 2019 — Enoch’s First Off-Leash Dog Park to Open After Receiving $25,000 PetSafe® Bark for Your Park™ Grant

The City of Enoch will hold a ribbon-cutting and grand opening event to celebrate the new Enoch PetSafe® Dog Park on Saturday, Sept. 21. Enoch was one of 13 communities selected nationwide to receive a $25,000 grant to fund their new park through the program.

The three-acre community addition is the first designated dog park in Iron County and features an agility area, benches, and more. The grand opening event on Sept. 21 coincides with the 8th Annual Responsible Dog Ownership Day hosted by the , a nonprofit dedicated to enriching the human-animal bond in Iron County.

“Thanks to PetSafe®, Iron County has a safe, fenced, green space that both pets and their guardians can use for exercise, socialization ,and enjoyment,” says Diane Gil, President of Friends of Festival Country K9s. “In addition to being a gathering spot for local pets and their owners, it’s conveniently located next to the newly built Enoch Animal Shelter.”

The Sept. 21 event will include dog vaccinations and exams by Cedar City Veterinary Hospital, free nail trims, grooming tips, and low cost microchipping. Additionally, it will feature family-friendly activities like a dog costume contest, photo booth, food vendors, demonstrations, educational seminars and more.

All vaccinated dogs and their owners are invited to attend the community event on Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The Enoch PetSafe® Dog Park is located at 6337 North 675 East, Enoch, Utah.

City of Enoch
Enoch City, Utah is located in beautiful southern Utah. It is the second-largest city in Iron County located slightly north of Cedar City. This area is often referred to as the Gateway to the National Parks. Enoch is a largely rural community that is growing quickly. Enoch City is the only location in all of Iron County that hosts a fenced dog park with the closest dog park being 50 miles south in Washington County.
