About this community:

Tucson, Arizona, has a population of 545,340, with 81,941 of those living within 3 miles of Lincoln Regional Park, home of the soon-to-be newest dog park. Tucson is known for its laid-back vibe, the breathtaking Sonoran Desert, amazing Southwestern cuisine, and outdoor adventures. In 2019, SmartAsset named Tucson the #1 dog-friendly city due to the abundance of dog-friendly shops and restaurants, median home value, dog parks, walk score, and the sunny weather all year long.

Why this community deserves a Bark for Your Park™ grant:

Tucson, Arizona, deserves this grant because we know how much Tucsonans love their parks and dogs. This was apparent with the passing of the park’s bond, Proposition 407. We have invested in the parks, and this grant is just another way to show how important Tucson parks are to the community. In addition, over 80,000 pets are licensed in Pima County. This grant will allow for a one-of-a-kind dog park to meet the needs of the community. We need your vote to help make this happen.

How this community would use a Bark for Your Park™ grant:

With this grant, Tucson will be able to add more amenities to the dog park that the community is dreaming of, like a water spray feature to keep cool during the extreme heat of the summer. A giant obstacle course for the dogs to play on and enjoy. In addition, pet water fountains, trees, and other play equipment to truly make this dog park different than any other dog park in the city. This grant will help make this community’s dog park dreams come true.
